WCT, INC. ANNOUNCES DERMACLOSE HAS BEEN USED IN OVER 15,000 CASES
Eden Prairie, MN February 23, 2016 – Wound Care Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce that the DermaClose Continuous External Tissue Expander has now been used in over 15,000 cases to date! The DermaClose device is used by plastic surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, general surgeons and others on wounds such as fasciotomies, excisional wounds, flap donor sites, sternal wounds, knee wounds, necrotizing fasciitis and trauma wounds.
There are now 42 case reports on DermaClose and more coming in almost every month. Over 20 clinical papers support the efficacy and cost effectiveness of the use of DermaClose for wounds with large skin deficits or where high tension makes wound closure difficult. A growing number of physicians are using DermaClose for offloading to prevent wound dehiscence.
